2019 Learn to Play JAMBOREE!
The annual highlight of the Learn to Play season is the year-end Jamboree at historic St. Michael’s Arena, where all the players have a chance to showcase their newly developed hockey skills. In the Jamboree, the players are encouraged to have fun and put their new hockey and sportsmanship skills to practice in a tournament format in front of cheering family and friends. The players played other Knights LTP teams of matching skill level in games that included goalies, coaches on the benches and, at a segregated section of the ice, hockey instruction between games. The games were exciting, the atmosphere was fun, and the players commented how much they enjoyed the camaraderie of the dressing room and bench (bumpers), cheering for their team and playing with or against their friends. Parents were appreciative of the day and commented how much fun their son or daughter had in the Jamboree. A special thanks to our referees and time keeper volunteers who ensured that the players and parents would have a special year end event. A reminder to our families that registration opened April 15th and more details of this and all our programs can be found at knightshockey.org.
