LEARN TO PLAY REGISTRATION

  • 2022-2023 Learn To Play Registration

ONLINE REGISTRATION OPENED ON MONDAY MAY 2nd, 2022 AT 10:00AM.

Please review all of the following instructions in order to successfully complete your child’s online registration.

The North York Knights Hockey Association (“Knights”) uses the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) for enrolment. Hockey Canada has updated their system to HCR 3.0. If your child is a new player, you will need to create a profile using your email address and a password.

When registering your child, please use an email address that you check regularly as this will be the club’s primary means of communication with you.

DO NOT USE YOUR CHILD’S EMAIL ADDRESS FOR REGISTRATION!

If you have used your child’s email address within the registration system, you do have the option to edit the information.

Note that all communication from the league will be forwarded to the email address that you have provided during registration. If you provide an invalid or an incorrect email address you will not receive club communications.

All fields within the registration are self-explanatory and the system will prompt you if you forget to answer the mandatory questions. Once you complete the Member’s Information, you will need to choose the Division in which your child will play.

IF YOU REGISTER FOR A DIVISION FOR WHICH YOUR CHILD IS INELIGIBLE, YOUR PAYMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED BUT YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE DENIED BY THE KNIGHTS.

For Learn To Play (LTP) Parents

Please go to the LTP section of our website by clicking on the LTP sidebar of this page to obtain more information on the programs offered. All parents should read the FAQs (frequently asked questions) to obtain the information required to register your child in the appropriate session. The discussion on how the players are assigned to the various LTP sessions is particularly helpful.

Learn To Play will be using the website and TeamSnap for general communications this season. You will NOT receive emails or phone calls – so please check the website and TeamSnap regularly for updates. Please bookmark that site and check back in September 2022 for up-to-date information on getting started in the programs, assigned coaches and detailed schedules. The North York Knights will be offering LTP programs at three arenas. However, this may be subject to change depending on the allocation of arenas by the City of Toronto.

    1. Pleasantview Arena: Saturday at 9:00am
    2. York Mills Arena: Saturday from 9:00am – 11:00am and 11:00am – 1:00pm (see FAQ’s for placement information)
    3. St. Mike’s Arena: Saturday 9:30 for BEGINNER skaters (no experience or basic stride and glide); 10:25 for STRONGER skaters and returning LTP players (good stride and glide, turns and stops)

NOTE: The Knights reserve the right to move any player in the St. Mike’s LTP program to the appropriate time slot based on our assessment of the player’s skill level. Players must be four (4) years of age prior to December 31, 2022. Registration for children under the age of four (4) will not be permitted for any of our programs.
