Please review all of the following instructions in order to successfully complete your child’s online registration.
The North York Knights Hockey Association (“Knights”) uses the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) for enrolment. Hockey Canada has updated their system to HCR 3.0. All players, new and returning, MUST create a new account to login to the system. If your child is a new player, you will need to create a profile using your email address and a password.
If your child is a new player OVER THE AGE OF 11, please contact the registrar at email@example.com as a manual profile will need to be created prior to registration.
When registering your child, please use an email address that you check regularly as this will be the club’s primary means of communication with you.
PLEASE DO NOT USE YOUR CHILD’S EMAIL ADDRESS FOR REGISTRATION!
Note that all communication from the league will be forwarded to the email address that you have provided during registration. If you provide an invalid or an incorrect email address you will not receive club communications.
All fields within the registration are self-explanatory and the system will prompt you if you forget to answer the mandatory questions. Once you complete the Member’s Information, you will need to choose the Division in which your child will play based on the player’s birth date that has been entered.
IF YOU REGISTER FOR A DIVISION FOR WHICH YOUR CHILD IS INELIGIBLE, YOUR PAYMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED BUT YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE DENIED BY THE KNIGHTS.
Registration opens on Wednesday June 23rd, 2021 at 10:00am and will remain open until the LTP time slot is deemed Full and Closed by the Knights (see Registration Status below). The Knights reserve the right to close registration early for any time slot in LTP deemed to be full. Acknowledging the unprecedented challenges for many families as a result of the economic shutdown, the NYKHA Executive will be implementing a registration process with two instalment payments for this year. The following table outlines the registration fees for the NYKHA for the 2021-2022 hockey season.
Payments for the upcoming season are to be made by credit card only, either Visa or MasterCard. The Knights do not accept cash or cheques. You will receive an invoice once you have completed the online registration. The invoice is your confirmation of acceptance into the league (subject to the payment of the second instalment on September 1st, 2021).
The paid invoice is also your tax receipt. Please print a copy for your records. Duplicate copies will only be available through the website at the end of the 2021-2022 season.
Notices of withdrawal and requests for refunds must be made in writing and sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Refunds, less a $50 administrative fee, will be made for Learn to Play registrants only if requested before October 31, 2021. No refunds for Learn to Play registrants will be issued in respect of any requests received on or after November 1, 2021.
Refunds will only be processed after the deadline date for refunds for both House League and Learn to Play (i.e. September 30th and October 31st, 2021, respectively) regardless of when the request for the refund is made. If a player is released after the relevant deadline at the discretion of the Knights, no refund will be made.
Should the season be cancelled due to Covid-19, full refunds will be issued to the payee of the fees recorded on the original order/invoice.
All parents should read the FAQs (frequently asked questions) to obtain the information required to register your child in the appropriate session. The discussion on how the players are assigned to the various LTP sessions is particularly helpful.
Learn To Play will be using the website for general communications this season. You will NOT receive emails or phone calls – so please check the website regularly for updates. Please bookmark that site and check back in September 2021 for up-to-date information on getting started in the programs, assigned coaches and detailed schedules. The North York Knights has historically offered LTP programs at two arenas. However, this may be subject to change depending on the allocation of arenas by the City of Toronto.
NOTE: Players must be four (4) years of age prior to December 31, 2021. Registration for children under the age of four (4) will not be permitted for any of our programs.
Extended Learn to Play will begin in early October at 10:00am at Pleasantview arena (subject to change). The minimum number of players required for the Knights to offer this program is 20. If a player is registered for Extended Learn to Play but the sessions need to be cancelled due to low enrolment, the Knights will notify parents of the cancellation.
Registration for all the LTP divisions opens on June 23rd for the 2021/2022 season.
